It may not be safe. If the flood water in your home is contaminated and you come into contact or ingest it, it can make you sick. Standing water can pose an electrocution risk. We will help you determine if it is safe to stay by doing an inspection of the damaged area.
How long does it take to dry out water damage?
Most properties will take approximately 4 days. However, your drying time will vary greatly depending on the severity of damage, and how quickly emergency services began. We will use the correct methods and equipment to determine when our home’s moisture levels are in the optimal range.
How to clean up water damage in a home?
If you have water in your home, it’s only natural to want to take action. When you give us a call we will rush out to help. Here are some things you can do while we are on our way!
- If water is still flowing, shut off your water. If you can’t figure out the source of the water we can help as soon as we arrive.
- Remove excess water by mopping, wiping etc.
- Turn off all electrical items that may have come in contact with water. But do not walk into standing water if possible.
