Water Damage in Crawlspace

Water damage is destructive anywhere in your home and this includes your crawl space.  When you have excess moisture in the air, it is a breading ground for mold.  If that wasn’t bad enough, standing water can also invite bugs and or rodents causing further damage.

A pipe break, sprinkler, or house flood can often be the cause of water damage in a home’s crawlspace.  These are often large water events that you will catch as they happen. However, sometimes it can be a slow leak from a plumbing pipe that can go undetected without an annual inspection.

Vapor Barrier Damage

Your vapor barrier provides protection from excess moisture in your crawlspace.  So if your vapor barrier has been installed incorrectly, or has been damaged, it could be allowing moisture to come incontact with the materials your home is made of.  Increasing your chances of mold forming.

Our annual crawlspace inspection can catch any problems, or potential problems with your vapor barrier.  We’ll have a plan to fix the issues found.  Giving you the power to choose the path going forward.
